1. How can I apply for account opening?
To submit an application for opening an account, it is necessary to:
  • fill in the form on the web-site https://openaccount.vtbbank.cn/ and attach the relevant documents;
  • make sure that your Russian counterparty is a client of the VTB Group;
  • wait for feedback from a VTB Shanghai manager who will contact you after verifying the documents and invite you to the office for the opening of the account.

  • 3. How long will the account opening take after signing the documents at the meeting?
  • General account is opened not later than the next business day after the Bank receives a full set of documents for account opening from the Client (after the meeting);
  • Basic account is opened not later than the next business day after the Client’s registration. The registration procedure takes approximately 14 business days.
  • 4. How do I contact the Bank?

    5. How to set up a mailbox to receive email from the Bank?
    Make sure there are no restrictions from your mail system on receiving email from noreply@www.vtbbank.cn. If possible, add our e-mail address (noreply@www.vtbbank.cn) to the white-list (including cloud settings of Anti-spam and Anti-DDOS).

    10. Does VTB Shanghai have an Internet Banking? What can I do there?
    Yes, VTB Shanghai has an Internet Banking (Remote Banking System, or RBS). In this system, you can check balances, make payments, and carry out conversion transactions.
    11. How can I log in to the Remote Banking System?
    To log in to the Remote Banking System, you can use the following link: https://online.www.vtbbank.cn. The same link contains frequently asked questions on using RBS and technical support contacts.
    In case of initial login to the Remote Banking System, please check that you received a letter from the email address noreply@www.vtbbank.cn with the login and primary password to your personal RBS account. Also make sure that all settings of your mailbox system are set up according to item 2.
    Please note that at the first login to the Remote Banking System, you will have to set / generate a new password, which must consist of at least 8 elements and include lowercase and uppercase letters and numbers. After changing your password, you will have to log in to the RBS again.
    Please note that the PIN for the token and the password for logging in to the RBS are two different passwords. When using a token for the first time, you will have to set / generate a new PIN-code, which must consist of 6 elements.
